Tackle Today: The Turnstile Effect | Tackle Trading

≈ Developing your personal paradigm shift. ≈

“The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size.” — Albert Einstein

The telephone took 50 years to reach 50 million people.
Television took 22 years to reach the same number of souls.
Mobile phones, 12 years.
Pokémon Go, 19 days. How unfortunate.

People like speed. The faster, the better. The financial markets could not be different. The “get rich quick” mentality went from endemic to pandemic. From the cab driver to my friend’s mom, anyone can download an app, open an account and start trading (and losing) before they find any Pokémon.

Of course, the speed of things is exciting but do you really think that it can, indeed, transform people’s lives, making them better off?

For us, transformation is the keyword, not speed.

Once you get acquainted with the financial markets and start to understand how it works, how it behaves, once you get to touch the Black Monolith of compounding interest and watch your equity curve become steeper, once you witness the explosive and anti-fragile behaviour of options, once you understand the intricacies of the currency market, once experience the peace of mind of day trading, not carrying any long or short positions overnight, once you become the gardener of your own portfolio, building it to survive any market conditions and a true engineer of your own future wealth bridging the gap between the unseen and the foreseen, once you cross all these turnstiles moving forward you start not to care how fast you change, but the direction, the relevance and the structural changes these things operate on you.

That is how you know you’ve changed things forever. There is no going back. You cannot return to your original size.
