Tackle Today: Stock of the week: Coke | Tackle Trading
≈ Delicious and refreshing. ≈
If there is one thing that makes some of us feel very close to Warren Buffett is Coca-Cola. Not that we hold 400,000,000 shares of the company in our portfolio, it’s just pure love we feel for this wonderful black soft drink. For me, personally, there is only one thing I love more than Coke itself: the vintage ads and the ephemera. It’s more like an addiction, actually.
Coca-Cola had a humble start in 1886 as a mere curiosity of an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton. We know how this story ends. Two years later, Dr. John died, shortly after selling the rights of this “delicious, refreshing, pure joy, exhilarating, and invigorating brain tonic that would cure headaches, relieve exhaustion, and calm nerves”, according to his advertisements.
Coca-Cola is also an old friend of the Tackle Today email. It is the dog in our series of comparisons with Tesla Inc., the cheetah. The company’s Board of Directors wants to sell this dark, sweet, sparkling, bubbly beverage day in day out looking for predictable results. We too.
You voted you got it: The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) is the Stock of the Week on Tackle’s Instagram.
Go to our profile and check the analysis done by Coach Noah Davidson. Coca-Cola’s fundamental in itself generates a decent ROI if you are interested in dividends alone. But, if you would like to swing trade it, the stocks’ strong bullish uptrend can be exactly what you are looking for.
